Alternative Christmas Cards: Rough Idea

This is very much a work in progress. The brief requires one to create a Christmas card that communicates something about Christmas yet avoids any cliches. I have decided to look at the over eating consumerist side of Christmas and what we are left with once it's all over. I baked some biscuits and photographed their gradual demise, forcing the viewer to question what they want to gain from Christmas. This is very much an initial version and definitely needs a lot of work in order to communicate what I want it to.

Editorial Illustration

Two illustrations I created to illustrate an article on being taken for granted in everyday life. I related to a quote from the article which said 'It's our appetite for low prices that puts a squeeze on service.'
